Ukraine plans for 10 years to become the leader of the world economy

Ukraine for 10 years can take a leading position in the global economy. This was stated by P. Poroshenko, Minister of Economic Development. According to him, if before the leaders were the countries with oil and gas, in the future the world will be ruled by the country's water and grain, which has a developed agricultural sector and large food resources.

According to Poroshenko, it all depends on how the state can use their own advantage. The minister said that the government needs to show concern for investors in creating a safe and comfortable environment.


According to the CIA Factbook, in 2010, Ukraine in terms of GDP ranked 39th in the world (317.2 billion U.S. dollars). Last year, GDP in Ukraine amounted to 333.7 billion U.S. dollars. In terms of GDP per capita (6900 U.S. dollars) in 2010, the state took 134th. In 2011 this figure was in the CIA Factbook 7300 U.S. dollars.

For comparison, the volume of Russia's GDP in 2010, the same source estimated at 2.314 trillion. USD (7th in the world), and GDP per capita - 16 200 billion (71 in the world).

9/12/12 reported that the Government of Ukraine, discussing the draft budget for 2013, improved the outlook for economic growth next year to 4.5%. This year, the authorities expect that GDP will grow up by 3.9%.

According to the State Statistics Service, in the 1st quarter of this year, Ukrainian GDP increased by 2% compared with the 1st quarter of last year, and the 2 nd - 3%.
