Purchasing managers index for the UK construction sector

Activity in residential construction in the UK in April rose 15 th consecutive month , which was the longest series of growth from 2006-2007 , as the demand for real estate remained strong . This is evidenced by Markit and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), published on Friday .

This growth helped keep housing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the UK construction sector at a high level , although the rate of growth of activity in the sector as a whole slowed down compared with March .
According to the report , the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the UK construction sector , despite the increased activity of the 12th month in a row , fell to 60.8 in April from 62.5 in March.
