In Spain, the Red Cross will begin collecting donations

Massive campaign to raise money to help those affected by the crisis to citizens of Spain will hold Red Cross 10/10/12, reports El Pais. In various provinces volunteers will be engaged in collecting money for the approximately 300,000 people who were in the most vulnerable.

The action will take place on Flag Day Spanish Red Cross. Each year the organization held similar events, but this time, the first time all the funds raised will be used exclusively to help the victims of the crisis.

The Red Cross has posted video on its website. In the video, a father with two children opens near empty refrigerator and dinner prepared omelette from one egg. At that moment, when they sit down at the table, are volunteers from the Red Cross, and in their hands with a box of food.

According to the Spanish Red Cross, 82% of those who collected money to help plan, live below the poverty line, earning less than monthly 627.78 euros, and unemployment among them has reached 64.86%. Overall, the unemployment rate in Spain is at around 25%.

Spanish budget deficit now stands at 6.3% of GDP and is the 3rd largest in the European Union. In 2013 the Spanish government plans to reduce it to 4.5% of GDP. For this new package of measures was adopted in September. They will contribute to the reduction of public spending.
